“It is health that is real wealth
And not pieces of gold and silver.”
For the entire life, everyone is running after one thing or the other. Some are chasing fame; some are chasing money and whatnot. In this competition, we often tend to ignore our physical and mental well-being. The outbreak of the Coronavirus has led to the death of lakhs of people in India itself. But even before Corona Virus, India’s healthcare sector was not in a favorable position. Our country’s healthcare workforce is also comparatively low, and that is too mainly concentrated in the urban areas. On average, there are 7 doctors and 1.5 nurses available per 1,000 Indian citizens. Conditions are even worse in the rural areas, where there is less availability of essential resources.
The causes of diseases in India are mainly due to two reasons: Lifestyle and Poverty. Many people in India lose their life because of lack of money, awareness, or resources. This does not stop here. Treatment for chronic illnesses like heart diseases, cancer, or chronic kidney disease is almost unaffordable. India is one of those countries with a severe percentage of malnutrition. Poor children do not have food to eat; neither do they have clean water to drink. They do not get enough nutrients to thrive. It is also noted that the women who are malnourished are not able to give birth.
Many children have to serve as child laborers as soon as they learn to walk. Education is not even a choice for these children. Their universe is limited to construction sites and harsh sun rays for the rest of their lives. Child labor, too, indirectly contribute to the plummeting condition of healthcare in our country. Due to lack of awareness, they ignore their physical well-being. Even if they’re suffering, these people are utterly helpless because they would not be able to afford the expenses of treatment anyway.
“Ditch unhealthy practices and manifest the power of healthy living to
assign meaning to the inside-out approach for real.”
Mission Aarogya aims to realize the importance of investing in health care. Our main aim is to organize health checkup camps, blood donation camps, and various other medical programs. We have taught multiple programs that will shed light on safety rules, fire, accidents, etc. We also emphasize on the importance of sanitation and cleanliness. These people do not want our sympathies, they need our help. We do not even have an idea what a little step of ours can do to make a difference in someone else’s life. Human beings are social creatures. What sets us apart from other creations is our capability to think and reason. Aarogya is our stepping stone to reach our noble goal. We hope you would be a part of this cause.

Only compassion can heal.”
